How I Got Here

I started working as a software developer in my second year of university while studying Software Engineering at Universidad ORT Uruguay. I couldn't wait to graduate to start building, so I balanced both worlds until I got my degree. That experience taught me how to manage multiple priorities and ship quality work under pressure.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to get my hands on AI and Machine Learning at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Even though I was an early adopter of LLMs, this international experience served as my first exposure to the fundamentals of AI. And really opened my mind to the possibilities of these technologies.

Beyond the Code

I'm a really curious person. When something intrigues me, I dive deep. That's how Vestigia and many other projects were born. born. I have a notebook with +100 ideas for projects to build. If something catches my interest, I spin up a new project and start building.

I don't just write code. I care deeply about the product, the users, and the impact. Having conducted customer discovery meetings for Quentax, reading AI research papers to implement better OCR systems, and mentoring my team, I'm always thinking product first, engineering second.

I'm a team player at heart. I love collaborating with others and learning from them. And whenever there's a problem, I'm always looking for the root cause and the best solution, which is something I apply to my own life.

What Drives Me

I love staying on the cutting edge. I'm not afraid to explore new technologies, experiment with emerging trends, or challenge conventional approaches. Like building OCR AI integrations with FastAPI, or architecting scalable apps, I enjoy the challenge of turning complex problems into elegant solutions.

I believe in clean code, best practices, and understanding the fundamentals. While I use tons of AI tools and prompt engineering to accelerate my workflow, I'm deeply technical and always ensure I understand my codebase inside out.

Right now, I'm focused on AI and software engineering. I want to build products that solve real problems, be a great engineer that ship great software, and keep learning whatever brings me curiosity.
